Professor Philippe Menasché joins Help Therapeutics as Chair of Cardiovascular Scientific Board

Help Therapeutics is deepening its collaboration with Professor Philippe Menasché, an internationally renowned cardiac surgeon and pioneer of stem cell therapy. As a clinical collaborator and advisor, Professor Menasché will support our technology research, product development and clinical studies to accelerate the “bench-to-bedside” translation of stem cell therapy.

Prof. Menasché is currently Professor of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Paris Descartes, Chief of the Heart Failure Surgery Unit of the Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou and Director of an INSERM (National Institute of Health and Medical Research) laboratory devoted to cell therapy of cardiovascular diseases.

In 2014, Prof. Menasché completed the world’s first clinical study utilizing human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes to treat severe heart failure.[1][2] This milestone achievement not only demonstrated the feasibility and clinical potential of cell therapy, but also encouraged many to devote themselves into regenerative medicine, including us. We are excited that Prof. Menasché decided to join our endeavors, and we look forward to collaborating with Prof. Menasché in the coming years.
